About Carolyn Doherty

Carolyn is a Sydney-based artist, working in oil and acrylic paints. She has also created assemblages from found objects and bronze sculpture.

Carolyn has always painted but life and the need to earn a living and raise three children was a distraction for many years. Career wise she was a teacher, magazine editor, landscape designer and now a full-time artist.

I like to find new ways of seeing a landscape or delving into the flora, so that each work challenges the viewer. Nature is always at the heart of my inspiration, as without looking after the environment, we have nothing.
